Archery In Motion (AIM) periodically holds Level 1 and Level 2 Instructor certification courses to certify archery instructors. All instructors will be trained in the NTS (National Training System) shooting technique, which is standard for professional shooting.
Level 1 Instructor Certification

Level 1 Instructors are associated with programs which focus on introducing basic archery skills to beginners.  These programs typically include seasonal camps, 4-H, and Parks and Recreation clubs. In order to attend a Level 1 course you must be at least 15 years of age. The course runs 6-8 hours and is completed in one day.  Topics covered include range safety, range set-up, basic equipment, and how to teach the fundamental steps of shooting. This certification expires after three years, and the Level 1 course is not required to attend the Level 2 course.

Level 2 Instructor Certification

Level 2 Instructors are associated with programs such as JOAD, AAAP, collegiate clubs, and local organizations with a strong beginner component. Level 2 Instructors are approved to certify Level 1 Instructors. In order to become a Level 2 Instructor you must be at least 18 years of age, hold a USA Archery or NFAA membership, and pass a background check. The course runs 10-12 hours and is completed over a two day schedule.  Topics covered include the basic and intermediate shooting steps, range safety, range set-up, equipment, and how to teach a Level 1 Instructor course. This certification expires after three years.
